ARO pattern 261© 1971-76 GM scissors frame models
Made with BRASS zipper to mate to existing zipper inside top as OE. Made with matching trim or without the trim (see ECONOMY version) as a very economical replacement for the glass curtain. GENERAL MOTORS never supplied these models with a PLASTIC FULLVUE, only hard glass. Due to the weight of the glass, the original shell was supported on either side by spring loaded arms which pulled the glass back out of the way of the frame when lowering the top into the well area. This fullvue is mounted to the frame in the same manner as the hard glass shell. However, a FULLVUE would not be attached to these arms & may not contour as well as the glass.
