WE STAND BEHIND OUR EXPERIENCE AND OUR PRODUCTS, WHICH HAVE BEEN PROFESSIONALLY INSTALLED WORLDWIDE FOR OVER 80 YEARS.

WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT THE INSTALLATION OF THESE PRODUCTS  BE PERFORMED BY PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION CENTERS.  THESE CENTERS WILL HAVE THE TOOLS & EXPERIENCE TO HANDLE ALMOST EVERY ISSUE THAT CAN ARISE DURING EVEN THE MOST ROUTINE INSTALLATION.

WE RECOMMEND YOU LOCATE THE DEALER SERVICE MANUALS FOR YOUR MODEL. When possible, we email the scanned Factory Service manuals we have available.

MAKE SURE THE CORRECT ITEMS WERE RECEIVED AND IN GOOD CONDITION. CLAIMS FOR INCORRECT, DAMAGED or MISSING ITEMS MUST BE MADE WITHIN 3 DAYS FOLLOWING DELIVERY

ABSOLUTELY NO ADJUSTMENTS OR CREDITS FOR "INCORRECT ITEM" CLAIMS WILL BE POSSIBLE ONCE INSTALLATION HAS BEEN STARTED UNLESS WE RECEIVE BACK YOUR OLD PART FOR COMPARISON TO OUR PATTERNS.

INABILITY TO PROPERLY INSTALL ANY OF OUR PRODUCT DOES NOT CONSTITUTE "DEFECTIVE PRODUCT"

 

UNFOLD AND LAY FLAT IN A PROTECTED COOL, DRY AREA IF NOT INSTALLING WITHIN 30 DAYS. LEAVING THESE ITEMS BOXED AND FOLDED FOR PROLONGED PERIODS WILL CAUSE COMPRESSION WRINKLES AND FOLDS WHICH WILL BE DIFFICULT TO ELIMINATE WITHOUT THE USE OF A TRIM STEAMER. CLEAR VINYL WINDOWS MAY BECOME DAMAGED BY PRESSURE IMPRINTS - USE A HAIR DRYER PRIOR TO, AND DURING, INSTALLATION TO ALLOW THE WINDOW TO RELAX.

IF THE PART YOU ARE INSTALLING IS SIGNIFICANTLY DIMENSIONALLY DIFFERENT THAN YOUR OLD PART OR YOU FEEL YOU HAVE RECEIVED THE WRONG PART - HAVE YOUR INSTALLER CALL BEFORE  ATTEMPTING INSTALLATION, STAPLING, GLUING OR OTHERWISE ALTERING THE NEW PART.

CONVERTIBLE TOPS- VINYL -          UP TO 60  MONTHS.          

Against cracking, peeling or de- lamination, excessive shrinkage (4%+) or major discoloration. Use of vinyl protectants may cause discoloration & voids warranty (see below). Do not fold down wet or dirty. Do not leave folded down for extended periods.   

CONVERTIBLE TOPS- CLOTH -        UP TO 60 MONTHS.

Against peeling or de- lamination, excessive shrinkage (4%+) or major discoloration. Use of protectants may cause discoloration. Do not fold down wet or dirty. Do not leave folded down for extended periods.

HARD GLASS -     UP TO 60 MONTHS.

No warranty against breakage. Coverage against separation of the bond between glass & material only. Glass for Imports - 24 months.  Defroster grids up to 12 months only. Keep all objects out from underneath well area. No credit will be given for any  rear window assembly returned for examination which is missing the complete zipper, extrusions or which has had window tint film installed. Use of vinyl protectants may cause discoloration and/or de-lamination of the material from the glass & voids warranty. NO WARRANTY OR RETURNS ON CUSTOM ORDERS OR NON OE DESIGN (UNIVERSAL GLASS CURTAINS).

PLASTIC CURTAINS -         UP TO 12 MONTHS.

Only AS-6  / DOT approved materials used. Covers only against separation of the bond between plastic & material. No warranty against scratching, discoloration, or zipper failure. In the event of fold lines, creases or imprints from being left folded in a box for extended periods - these issues are not covered by warranty. These issues can be virtually eliminated by laying flat in a warm room, or use of a heat source to make the window more pliable. Stretch all 4 corners to assist the decrease of the folds/wrinkles and allow 24-48 hours warm before installing.   Pitting or discoloration may occur if left stored in the box. Clean with warm water only. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO FOLD ANY PLASTIC WINDOW  WHEN THE AMBIENT TEMPERATURE IS 60 DEGREES OR LESS.

TONNEAU COVERS, TOP BOOTS -          UP TO 12  MONTHS.          

Against cracking, peeling or de- lamination, excessive shrinkage (4%+) or major discoloration. Do not fold down wet or dirty. RETURNABLE FOR EXCHANGE ONLY.

ZIPPERS - NO WARRANTY. When possible, unzip rear curtain prior to folding top down. Do not attempt to operate zipper when curtain is under full tension. Keep clean.   

EXCLUSIONS FROM WARRANTY

TOP FRAMES - We cannot be held responsible for any damage caused by any frame, which is misaligned, worn, or in any other way less than proper working condition. In addition, we cannot be held responsible for damage caused by any frame which is recognized as having been poorly designed and which is known to cause premature failure of the top or glass.

INSTALLATION - Improperly installed items, or any item not installed as originally designed & installed can fail prematurely. Use of worn or improperly constructed pads may cause premature failure of the convertible top. Any change or alteration beyond original design, other than normal installation procedure, will void warranty.

WEAVING FLAWS - All woven materials are subject to minor weaving imperfections. We cut all cloth tops across the roll or into the roll according to automotive manufacturing specifications. We carefully screen all cloth to be cut, but cannot be held responsible for shading variations created by the angles of the joined pieces or minor weaving imperfections which are characteristic of any woven material.

SHRINKAGE - All materials are subject to normal shrinkage over time due to surrounding conditions as well as the aging process. Abnormal or continual exposure to extreme light, heat, and high humidity will result in higher degrees of shrinkage.

FADING- All materials & thread are subject to normal fading due to environmental conditions. Use of chemical cleaners, solvents, etc, as well as prolonged exposure to extreme light, heat, and high humidity will result in higher degrees of fading.

NORMAL WEAR - Only First quality materials are used in production. All materials are subject to normal wear and tear, especially at high stress fold or flex points, and are not covered under this warranty. Normal wear is not considered a "defect".

NON-OE MATERIALS - Due to material construction & frame design, some materials may not be suitable for every application.

FACTORY OE PARTS - In certain instances, we use must OE parts supplied by various auto manufacturers. In the event of warranty claims for parts supplied by these manufacturers, the terms of the warranty extended by the part supplier for the part in question will take precedent and be the deciding factor.

DISCLAIMERS  

Items to be returned for examination & credit must be carefully removed & returned in their entirety. No credit allowance possible for any item which is improperly removed or cut off at the tacking strip or the zipper strip.

With the exception of "RaggTopp" products, we do not recommend any form of protectants or cleaners. Our experience has shown prolonged exposure to direct sunlight of certain types of these products (such as Armorall ) could actually cause material issues such as fading, discoloration, streaking, etc. The chemicals or solvents in some of these products may cause degradation of the chemical bond between the material trim & the glass, causing de-lamination of the material from the glass.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RAISE OR LOWER THE TOP WHEN THE CAR IS IN MOTION - When folding ANY convertible up or down, the car MUST BE STATIONARY. Opening or raising a convertible top while in motion will cause the top frame and material to act as a giant scoop. SEVERE DAMAGE TO THE TOP MATERIAL AND FRAME IS LIKELY.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO OPERATE ANY VINYL CONVERTIBLE TOP OR CLEAR VINYL WINDOW WHEN THE AMBIENT TEMPERATURE IS 60 DEGREES OR LESS. Warmer temperatures allow the material to stretch and the top frame to operate easier.

ARO 2000 warrants all items sold - convertible tops, plastic curtains, and hard glass - to be free of material or manufacturing defects at time of shipment from our factory. No claims for any item with a visible defect once installation has been started, or if altered in any way beyond normal installation requirements. ARO 2000 offers limited warranties on all items when professionally installed. If any item - due to material failure or manufacturing defect- requires replacement, we require the item be sent back intact for examination to determine if the claim is valid.

At no time shall the liability exceed the original sale price to the original purchaser.

Standard retail industry procedure is for the item in question requiring replacement to be returned prior to receiving the replacement. In the event replacement product must be shipped prior to return of the item in question - FULL PAYMENT FOR THE ITEM IN QUESTION WILL BE REQUIRED.

All items must be returned in their entirety - any item cut off short, partially returned or otherwise trashed will not be considered for examination, credit or replacement.

Warranty items or other returns are to be sent back freight prepaid. ARO 2000 reserves the right to determine the validity of any claim. Any or all adjustments will be made on a pro-rated basis. All claims are calculated starting from date of sale to original purchaser. Any item damaged by abuse, improper storage or installation, harsh or chemical cleaners, certain "protectants", use of materials other than originally designed or intended - becomes the sole responsibility of the purchaser.

LABOR CREDIT - When a claim is submitted for labor - the defective item must be returned in its entirety PRIOR TO OUR SENDING THE REPLACEMENT PART(s). Installation must occur within 30 days from date of purchase. If upon our examination the installed product is found to be defective during the first 6 months from date of purchase, a new product will be issued at no charge, plus a labor allowance which will be determined by ARO 2000. The labor credit will only apply to products installed by a professional trim installer approved by ARO 2000.

All original invoices documenting date of purchase and date of installation must be submitted at this time. Letterhead of the professional installation center and copies of cancelled checks/credit card receipt required.

 

Unless purchased direct from ARO 2000 - ALL CLAIMS TO BE FILED AT POINT OF PURCHASE. Warranty extended to ORIGINAL PURCHASER ONLY & is non-transferable. In no event shall ARO 2000 be held liable for any labor, loss, inconvenience, or damage whether direct, incidental, consequential or otherwise resulting from breach of any express or implied warranty, of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or otherwise, except as set forth herein. At no time shall the liability exceed the original sale price to the original purchaser.
