  • Due to constant volatility in the petroleum markets, prices are subject to change without prior notification. We reserve the right to pass along any increases or impact fees which we receive from our vendors. In the event of an increase, we will honor prices for 30 days from date of quote.

  • Due to NYS sales tax regulations, we are required to have valid sales tax certificates on file for any order we ship within NYS or we must collect NYS taxes at the rate in effect at time of sale - shipping charges are also taxed. Your NYS county rate may be different. Please check here - http://ny.rand.org/stats/govtfin/salestax.html for your county rates. We are required to have your valid sales tax certificate on file if you are legally liable to collect NYS sales taxes in New York State or if your state has reciprocal tax collection agreements with New York State. 

  • CREDIT CARDS - We accept all major credit cardsVisa, MasterCard, Discover. Due to American Express terms and policies, we no longer accept Amex. We can no longer absorb increased processing fees charged by credit card companies for debit/credit cards or transactions where we do not have physical possession of your card. To avoid this additional expense, the order must be paid through PayPal or pre-paid by certified check / money order. To prevent possible credit card fraud or other claims, we will send you a detailed PayPal invoice. PayPal transactions are secure - we do not have access to your credit card info. You do not need a PayPal account to make payments through PayPal. All charges will appear on your monthly statement as "PUTT GEORGI LTD, Walden NY".
  • EXPORT SHIPMENTS -  For shipments by USPS Airmail, FedEx or UPS. Shipping fees include insurance and handling fees, but do not include local taxes, duties, brokerage fees, etc. which may be due upon delivery
  • Examine your order immediately upon delivery - no claims for damaged items 24 hours after delivery. Damaged items are the responsibility of the carrier and must must be reported immediately AT TIME OF DELIVERY to the delivery person. SIGN FOR THE PACKAGE, NOTING THAT IT IS "DAMAGED" BUT DO NOT REFUSE A DAMAGED PACKAGE - CARRIERS WILL DISCARD ANY DAMAGED PACKAGE and DO NOT HONOR ANY CLAIM OR REIMBURSE FOR DAMAGED ITEMS WHICH HAVE BEEN REFUSED. WE WILL ASSIST BUT CANNOT FILE A CLAIM WITH THE CARRIER ON YOUR BEHALF.
  • Any undamaged item which has been refused and is subsequently damaged in the return handling will result in the COMPLETE LOSS and non-reimbursement of insured value and will be subject to additional shipping fees.

Special orders - custom colors, custom bound, non original style materials, etc are non returnable & cannot be cancelled once cut for production.

 

RETURNS:

 

1.      Please inspect your order upon delivery - check year/ make/ model, etc.  In the event of error the item will be replaced.  If your order arrives damaged or is not as described, please notify us immediately so that we can arrange the return for replacement. Please handle clear vinyl windows carefully. Vinyl windows improperly handled, scratched or otherwise damage will not be credited back.

2.      INSPECT CAREFULLY - We will not accept returns or claims for any incorrect item, marks or visible flaws once installation has been started.

3.      NON-DEFECTIVE returns are subject to a minimum 20% restocking fee. All items are made to order. Customer is responsible for return shipping costs, with the exception of returns for manufacturing errors or defect. Returns billed to our shipping account will have the charges deducted from any refund.

4.      Returns of items with initial free shipping are subject to the billing of actual initial shipping expense, which will be deducted from any refund.

5.      Any part may be returned within 30 days or as noted on the listing. Returns must be received back within 30 days of initial shipment. We will refund the purchase price (less shipping/restocking fees) once the item arrives back at the warehouse in its original condition. We pack all items to insure that they arrive safely. Retain all original packing materials for any item that is to be returned to us.

6.      Please contact us for a return authorization number (RA#).  No returns will be accepted otherwise.

7.        Other than warranty returns - All returns must be in original packaging, unused and in resalable condition. Please handle clear vinyl windows carefully when folding for return with paper in between. See line #1

8.        SIGNATURE REQUIRED – For your protection as well as ours, we require a signature at time of delivery. In the past we had claims of “item not received” and were told by our shippers (UPS, FedEx and USPS) that unless we require a signature at time of delivery, they can only prove they delivered the item and beyond that it is not their responsibility. Their position includes loss, theft or damage on all items they maintain were delivered in good shape. Without verification of receipt, credit card companies can proceed with a charge-back. Due to such policies, we no longer allow packages to be unsigned for "at the door/rear deck, etc" and must require all shipments to be signed for at time of delivery. We will ship your order without signature required solely at your risk only.

9.        REFUSED or UNCLAIMED ITEMS (A) For your protection - Signature is required at time of delivery on all shipments, to insure that the package has been delivered safely and intact. Any unclaimed or refused item on which return shipping is billed to our account will have the return shipping charges deducted from any refund - see line #3.  UPS and FedEx do not honor claims for "lost" or "damaged" items when "SIGNATURE REQUIRED" is waived.

10.     REFUSED or UNCLAIMED ITEMS (B) – Insurance on the initial shipment does not cover loss or damage to any unclaimed or refused items returned to us. Refused or unclaimed items which become lost or damaged during return to our facility may result in zero refund, depending on the shipping company’s (USPS, FedEx, UPS, etc) policy in effect at that time.

General Return policy

We guarantee that all ARO 2000 products are dimensionally equal & accurate to our proven paper patterns. All items are produced using automated cutting equipment which is calibrated every cutting shift & anytime  cutting blades are changed. This guarantees the consistent quality our customers expect.

Many installation problems can be solved with a simple phone call. If a problem should arise, call while the installation is being performed - 845-778-1314


For any 1981-present item :

Due to the age of the vehicle & demand for replacement parts,  replacement items for certain pre 1981 models are made to order. Depending upon the model & material, we suggest  offering your saleable parts online through car clubs, EBay, or other such outlets.

We will repair or replace for material cost only. No additional credit or refund possible for any reason. 

Olde Tyme™ patterns are Special order - cancellation within 24 hours only, refunded in full.

If cancelled after being cut for production - a service fee of 50% (material cost) will be deducted from any refund.

ARO Olde Tyme™ patterns were created at a time when the cars still had the original tops, fairly new and which had not been replaced multiple times. While we have no specifications or installation/fitting instructions available for these older cars, our patterns have been successfully installed by professional installers and proven over many, many years.

Cars of this era were essentially "hand-built" and are well known to have "minor" differences from side to side.

As such, installing these tops requires skill and patience - there are no short cuts or easy installation techniques possible. Knowledgeable installers might install current model tops in 6-8 hours. Older patterns such as these might take 2x - 3x the time due to measuring and adjusting - then measuring and adjusting again to hand fit and finesse the installation.

The item you receive may vary minimally in appearance from the old top being replaced.

The bow height from the the current top on your car could be different than the bow height our top requires - possibly due to manufacturing techniques, changes from original design to a more modern look or changes due to custom crafted tops.

Rear bow height must be adjusted to meet requirements for our patterns to be properly installed.

DO NOT USE ANOTHER COMPANYS SUGGESTED BOW HEIGHT WHICH MAY BE SUITABLE FOR THEIR PRODUCT ONLY.

Use our new rear window as a general guide when calculating rear bow height and set your pads accordingly.

It is very important to install properly constructed upper and rear quarter pads (rear quarter pads are installed along either side of the rear window curtain).
